Bacon Busters is Back in 2026!

Collinsville Bacon Busters will be back for 2026 on 22 August at the Collinsville Football Grounds. The event continues to gain momentum each and every year and 2026 will not disappoint.

Collinsville State High School remains Queensland’s smallest standalone high school. Although this has its benefits, it also presents unique challenges. Funding, staffing, resources and geographic location all impact our school’s ability to provide educational experiences, commensurate with other larger schools. Our Parents and Citizens Association recognise these difficulties and thus Bacon Busters has been our major fundraiser for the past nine years, raising over $300 000. These monies have been used to broaden opportunities for students and enhance learning experiences. Funds raised have been directed into the school’s That’s Tops’ positive reward program, school camps, travel costs for excursions, sporting equipment, outdoor seating, air conditioning and new computers and our senior learning centre. Our fundraising in 2026 will continue to support the needs of students and staff, particularly with regards to technology.

Our event delivers wide benefits for the community; uniting and reinvigorating our town with purpose, pride and well-being. We are committed to delivering an affordable event for patrons, while promoting positive community connections. Our event is a full day and night program including the Bacon Busters weigh in, loads of events, entertainment, food, a licenced bar and market stalls. Highlights will include the much-anticipated bikekhana, touch football competition, dog jump, ute comp and iron ‘man’ competitions. Live music TBA
